TR Engineering Invests in MSC.ADAMS to Improve Virtual Product
Development
German Automotive Technology Supplier and Engineering Team Extends Use of
Virtual Product Development to Improve Chassis Development for Racing and
Passenger Cars
SANTA ANA, Calif., June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MSC.Software Corp.
(NYSE:MNS), the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD)
products including simulation software and services, today announced that TR
Engineering, a German automotive services supplier, has invested in
MSC.Software's VPD products including MSC.ADAMS and ADAMS/Car.
"MSC.Software's VPD products have a powerful market position in both the
commercial and racing vehicle markets, especially the MSC.ADAMS product line,"
says Frank Perna, chairman and chief executive officer of MSC.Software.
"Because MSC.ADAMS is the de facto standard in the automotive industry,
especially within the OEMS and major suppliers, companies who want to increase
their revenue from projects with the OEMS and suppliers work very hard to meet
the high technical standards placed upon them. The best way to do that is to
standardize on the same tools used by industry leaders and MSC.Software is
committed to maintaining our leadership position with MSC.ADAMS and our other
VPD products."
"Faster, better, safer -- those are the main goals in automotive development --
no matter if for racing or for street cars," said E. Dohrer, Manager
Development at TR Engineering. "With ADAMS/Car we are sure to reach those
goals. MSC.ADAMS is the state of the art tool for multi body simulation and
it's not only our preferred simulation environment for chassis development, it
is also the most requested one by our customers. Since development time is
short within the motorsports market, we have to simulate to find the right
solution early enough for the next race. Before using ADAMS/Car, we used a
different, less customizable simulation tool, but we needed more flexibility.
Thanks to the open architecture of MSC.ADAMS we are now able to completely
build our own models and to even better understand the chassis we develop or
customize. For a company such as TR Engineering, one of the few companies in
Germany offering dynamic analysis on a service base, it is important to have
reliable software and an experienced software provider to keep this high
standard. With MSC.ADAMS and MSC.Software we are sure to get both -- a partner
that understands our needs and supports our work within the motorsport and
consumer area and a software which is reliable and flexible."
TR Engineering GmbH was founded 1994 and is a 100% subsidiary of the formula 3
and DTM race team "Team Rosberg." With a background in engineering for
motorsports and racing teams, TR Engineering today develops, designs, tests,

ADAMS/Car is their major tool for multi body simulation within chassis
development and they are now testing ADAMS/Motorsports for the "Team Rosberg"
racing cars.
