MSC.Software and Delmia Corp. Form Strategic Partnership
Customers to Benefit From Synchronization of Product Development Solutions With
Manufacturing and Assembly Processes
SANTA ANA, Calif., March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MSC.Software (NYSE:MNS),
the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD) products
including simulation software and services and Delmia Corp., a Dassault
Systemes company (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: No. 13065, DSY.PA), today
announced a strategic partnership through which MSC.Software will distribute
and implement DELMIA products to manufacturing customers in the Americas.
As an extension of MSC.Software's current partnership with Dassault Systemes,
this agreement further benefits customers by allowing concurrent development of
manufacturing processes during the design phase of a product, reducing time to
market and production costs.
"We are continuing to find ways to better work with our strategic partners, and
this new agreement with Delmia Corp. is an excellent addition to the great work
we have already been doing with customers using the SMARTEAM and CATIA brands,"
said Bill Weyand, chairman and CEO, MSC.Software. "With DELMIA, we have
uncovered a number of opportunities in the Americas -- in both the
small-to-mid-sized business sector and the aerospace supplier segment --
helping us to expand our market presence. We look forward to the strengthening
of our partnership with Dassault Systemes and the engineers at Delmia Corp."
DELMIA Digital Manufacturing Solutions offer manufacturers the technology and
the collaborative environment to digitally define the way products are
manufactured. DELMIA's offerings range from process planning to general
assembly processes and factory simulation across all manufacturing segments.
This allows complete design and validation of the manufacturing processes
through digital mock-up.
"We are very pleased at the formation of this partnership with MSC.Software and
look forward to working together in key market segments," said Robert Barlow,
vice president, Channel Development, Delmia Corp. "The inclusion of DELMIA
solutions in both the Dassault Systemes PLM offering and MSC.Software VPD
product line gives MSC.Software the opportunity to provide its customers a
comprehensive, end-to-end solution for the optimization of product design and
manufacturing processes."
