Directors - Share Purchase

MacLellan announces that on 1 April 2003 the following Directors acquired a
beneficial interest in ordinary shares of 5p each at a price of 51p per share:

John R Foley                    -    125,000 ordinary shares registered in his name together with a
                                     further 125,000 ordinary shares in the name of Trelawne
                                     Services Limited Retirement and Death Benefit Scheme, a scheme
                                     in which Mr Foley is beneficially interested.

                                     Following these purchases Mr Foley is beneficially interested
                                     in 581,625 ordinary shares representing 0.77% of the issued
                                     ordinary share capital of the Company.

John L Ellis                    -    10,000 ordinary shares. Following this purchase Mr Ellis is
                                     beneficially interested in 20,000 ordinary shares representing
                                     0.03% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Graham W S Lockyer              -    50,000 ordinary shares. Following this purchase Mr Lockyer is
                                     beneficially interested in 50,000 ordinary shares representing
                                     0.07% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Stephen R Shipley               -    10,000 ordinary shares in a Self Invested Personal Pension
                                     Plan. Following this purchase Mr Shipley is beneficially
                                     interested in 48,500 ordinary shares representing 0.06% of the
                                     issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
