MILWAUKEE, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE:MI) (M&I) announced today the closing of its public offering of 156.4 million shares of its common stock at $5.75 per share. The 156.4 million shares include 20.4 million shares issued pursuant to the option granted to the underwriters by M&I, which was exercised in full. The proceeds to M&I, after deducting underwriting discounts, commissions and offering expenses, were approximately $863 million. Morgan Stanley and BofA Merrill Lynch acted as joint book-runners for the offering.
