NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Campus Communities Inc. (NYSE:ACC) will replace The Lubrizol Corp. (NYSE:LZ) in the S&P MidCap 400 index after the close of trading on Friday, September 16, 2011. Lubrizol is being acquired by S&P 100 & 500 constituent Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. (NYSE:BRK/B) in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final approvals.

American Campus Communities, a real estate investment trust (REIT), engages in the acquisition, design, finance, development, lease, and management of student housing properties.
