Lyondell Chemical Company Declares Quarterly Dividend

HOUSTON, Jan. 20  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On January 20, 2006, the Board of Directors of Lyondell Chemical Company (NYSE:LYO) declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.225 per share of common stock to stockholders of record as of the close of business on February 27, 2006.

The regular quarterly dividend on each share of outstanding common stock is payable in cash on March 15, 2006.

Lyondell Chemical Company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is North America's third-largest independent, publicly traded chemical company. Lyondell is a major global manufacturer of basic chemicals and derivatives including ethylene, propylene, titanium dioxide, styrene, polyethylene, propylene oxide and acetyls.
