LyondellBasell Industries N.V. (LYB) on Friday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 5% to $1.05 from $1.00.
The new payout, equal to $4.20 a year, represents an annual yield of about 5.43% based on Thursday's closing price of $77.41, up from about 5.17%.
The plastics and refining company also said its shareholders approved the repurchase of up to 10% of its roughly 370 million shares outstanding over the next 18 months.
LyondellBasell said the increased dividend is payable June 17 to shareholders of record June 10.
