NEW YORK, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Oplink Communications Inc. (NASD: OPLK) will replace Landry's Restaurants Inc. (NYSE: LNY) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Wednesday, October 6.  Fertitta Group Inc. is acquiring Landry's Restaurants in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending final approvals.

Oplink Communications designs, manufactures, and sells optical networking components and subsystems worldwide.  Headquartered in Fremont, CA, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Communications Equipment Sub-Industry index.
