Legg Mason Reports Assets Under Management and Flows for September 2017

BALTIMORE, Oct. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Legg Mason, Inc. (NYSE: LM) reported preliminary assets under management of approximately $754.4 billion as of September 30, 2017. This month's AUM included long-term outflows of $1.3 billion, consisting of net outflows in equity of $1.2 billion and fixed income of $0.3 billion, partially offset by alternative inflows of $0.2 billion. Fixed income outflows included a $3.0 billion low-fee mandate redemption. Alternative AUM reflects realizations of $0.4 billion¹. Liquidity inflows were $0.9 billion and this month's AUM included a negative foreign exchange impact of $0.7 billion.
