The new website now sits on responsive web templates which can recognise the device being used to view the site online - whether desktop PC or laptop, tablet or mobile phone - and represents the site in a way that is easily accessible and usable.
The new multi-platform website has been developed in response to customer demand, with around 35 percent of new traffic to the http://www.mbna.co.uk website now coming through mobile and tablet devices.
"Our customers are showing us that they want and they expect us to continue to innovate to make their life easier," said Michael Donald, Marketing and Commercial Executive for MBNA. "The new responsive design of our website puts our online provision up with the very best in financial services in the UK."
MBNA launched responsive online credit card application forms last year, leading to a spike in customer satisfaction for the usability of the service.
"The optimisation of the full website was the next logical step," added Donald. "We can now boast leading edge website functionality, and our existing customers - and those who want to use our services - can be confident that we continue to remain committed to responding to their needs."
