TetraData and Scantron Partner for New Assessment and Data
Analysis Solution That Allows Real-Time Reporting of NCLB Data
GREENVILLE, S.C. and IRVINE, Calif., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- TetraData
Corporation and Scantron Corporation today announced that schools can now use
TetraData's EASE-e(TM) Data Analysis software to seamlessly analyze data
generated by Scantron's Achievement Series(TM) assessment system. The
integrated solution combines two best-of-breed educational solutions into a
powerful benchmarking tool for making valid and reliable assessments to
identify progress toward high-stakes tests.
In response to the growing need for analysis and assessment tools in K-12
school systems across the nation, the partnership between TetraData and
Scantron will enable the two industry leaders to collectively market their
signature software tools with a comprehensive solution to help schools deal
with reporting demands of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).
The TetraData EASE-e Analysis suite helps educators explore, measure and assess
student learning and the learning environment. Scantron's Achievement Series
is a Web-based test management engine that manages large-scale district and
state assessments as well as classroom-level testing for maximum flexibility.
The combined solution allows superintendents to better measure the performance
of students in aggregate or by groups, and on a continuous basis, while
allowing teachers to monitor areas of strength and weakness against state
standards.
"This partnership gives educators a comprehensive Web-based solution for
analyzing standards-aligned assessments and to efficiently communicate that
information throughout the district," said Tim Loomer, president of Scantron's
Testing and Assessment division. "Scantron's Achievement Series is a test
development and delivery system that captures student performance data and
TetraData transforms that data into meaningful information for all stakeholders
-- the superintendents, principals, teachers and parents."
"Scantron truly understands the value of online assessment and testing and the
importance of tying test results back to instruction and curriculum through
state standards," says TetraData Chairman and CEO Martin Brutosky. "Their
Achievement Series delivers immediate test results to teachers -- real-time
data that is designed to change classroom instruction which can result in
improved student learning. This is the goal of nearly every one of our
customers and of the market in general."
Scantron's Achievement Series is a highly flexible, content neutral, Web-based
test development and delivery system capable of managing a school district's
fixed form testing and assessment needs while supporting integrated classroom
quizzing and testing.
TetraData's EASE-e Data Analysis software suite collects real-time data and
performs sophisticated analysis of multivariate data such as student
demographics, financial information, test scores, attendance, discipline, staff
development and more.
