IMC Global Sets Date for Special Meeting of Common Shareholders
to Vote on Proposed Combination With Cargill Crop Nutrition
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IMC Global Inc.
(NYSE:IGL) announced today that it will hold a special meeting of its common
shareholders at 10:00 a.m., local time, on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at IMC's
headquarters offices, 100 South Saunders Road, Lake Forest, Illinois 60045. At
this special meeting, IMC's common shareholders of record as of September 3,
2004 will vote on the proposed combination of IMC Global and Cargill Crop
Nutrition, a business unit of Cargill, Incorporated. If approved, the
combination is expected to be completed shortly after the special meeting.
IMC is in the process of mailing the definitive proxy statement/prospectus
regarding the proposed combination to its common shareholders of record.
