Next Inning Technology Research Reports on December Semiconductor
Sales and Examines Analog Devices, Microchip, Texas Instruments and Infineon
PRINCETON, N.J., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Inning Technology Research
(http://www.nextinning.com/), a subscription service focused on semiconductor
and technology stocks, announced today that it has provided to members its
December Semiconductor Sales review. Companies examined in the report include
Analog Devices (NYSE:ADI), Microchip (NASDAQ:MCHP), Texas Instruments
(NYSE:TXN) and Infineon (NYSE:IFX).
"While we feel the three-month rolling average will post sequential declines
for at least the next two months, we don't feel the three consecutive months of
declining TMRA is nearly as bearish a sign as it was in years past. As a matter
of a fact, we feel the normal seasonal pattern changed in 2003 and will show
these sequential declines for the foreseeable future. And, due to the timing of
the Lunar Chinese New Year, we'll also see a sequential decline in February
this year," Next Inning Editor Paul McWilliams wrote.
McWilliams looked at the following topics in his December Semiconductor Sales
review:
-- How the shift in consumer consumption is impacting semiconductor sales
and trends.
-- The impact Asian consumption and manufacturing is having on the
semiconductor sector and the latter could negatively impact players
like IFX.
-- The outlook for semiconductor sales in 2005.
-- How investors should play the semiconductor sector in 2005 and why
MCHP, TXN and ADI are some of his favorites over the long-term
horizon.
