BP Plc (BP) said it shut ultraformer No. 4 at its Texas City, Texas, refinery Friday, according to a filing with state environmental regulators.
Tesoro Corp.'s (TSO) refinery in Anacortes, Wash., temporarily shut a number of process units Wednesday after three boilers shut down unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, according to a company statement Thursday. The company's Wilmington, Calif., refinery reported that two compressors failed Thursday, resulting in flaring activity.
Exxon Mobil Corp.'s (XOM) refinery in Torrance, Calif., said Thursday a planned flaring event may have resulted in excess emissions in a regulatory filing.
