Carlyle Group LP (CG) is the leading bidder for Getty Images Inc., Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Getty is likely to sell for about $3.3 billion to $3.4 billion, one of the people told Bloomberg.
The provider of photographs, video footage and digital images is now owned by Hellman & Friedman LLC.
CVC Capital Partners Ltd. hasn't yet topped Carlyle's offer, but could increase its bid later, according to one of the people with knowledge of the matter.
