NEW YORK, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Charming Shoppes Inc. (NASDAQ:CHRS) will replace GTECH Holdings Corp. (NYSE:GTK) in the S&P MidCap 400 index after the close of trading on Monday, August 28. GTECH is being acquired by S&P/MIB index constituent Lottomatica SpA in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending final approvals.
