Gaming Standards Association Welcomes TEN New Members International Membership Climbs to 57; Membership Includes Manufacturers, Operators, Tribes and Lotteries LAS VEGAS, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Industry advocate Gaming Standards Association (GSA) has welcomed nine new companies to its growing list of international members. GTECH Corporation joined as a Gold Member, and joining as Silver Members are Casino Technology AD, Bulgaria; Hyatt Gaming Services, LLC, U.S.; Loto-Quebec, Canada; and Octavian International Ltd., U.K. In addition, joining as advisory members are BMM North America Inc., Gaming Laboratories International, Inc., GGS-US Ltd., Molex Inc., and the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). The membership increase comes on the heels of GSA's incredibly successful demonstrations at the recent Global Gaming Expo. The demonstrations showcased GSA's members' cooperative work on Gaming Device Standards (GDS), the Best of Breed project and SAS(TM) Tool Kit, and highlighted the potential for positive changes to the entire gaming industry by strengthening protocol standards. GSA Board Chairman Gregg Solomon of Mandalay Resort Group said, "We had an extremely successful showing at G2E, and are thrilled that the demonstrations were so well received. We are pleased that GSA's membership continues to grow, as more and more companies across the globe embrace our vision of comprehensive industry standards." Standards have the potential to streamline the industry and save untold dollars in development and research, and reap rewards for operators by ensuring that devices can and do communicate correctly. Standards also can shorten the time to market for vendors and suppliers. GSA will next participate in the International Casino Exposition (ICE) in London this coming January, where it will officially launch the SAS(TM) Tool Kit.
