GTECH'S HotTrax(R) Race-Based Monitor Game Debuts in Rhode Island
WEST GREENWICH, R.I., May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GTECH Holdings
Corporation (NYSE:GTK) today announced that HotTrax(R), a new 3D animated
lottery game, will debut in Rhode Island on May 28, 2004. This race-based
monitor game provides players with an exciting opportunity to place a variety
of wagers on the finishing order of the racecars every four minutes. HotTrax
is the first game of its kind in the lottery industry.
"Bringing sight, sound, and motion to life, the release of HotTrax is an
important milestone for the lottery industry, representing a new direction in
content design and quality for lottery games," said GTECH Vice President of

entertainment value of lottery products as well as gain a broader acceptance in
social space environments. A significant step in support of this approach is
the debut of HotTrax at Chelo's restaurants across Rhode Island."
The Rhode Island Lottery will launch HotTrax at 50 locations in Rhode Island
initially, with plans to expand the distribution over time. For a list of
