GTECH and Hasbro Announce Licensing Agreement MONOPOLY and BATTLESHIP Branded Games will Provide Lotteries with Two of the World's Most Popular Themed-Play Experiences WEST GREENWICH, R.I., March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GTECH Holdings Corporation and the Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc. , announced today a licensing agreement that grants GTECH the rights to develop and distribute select lottery products featuring Hasbro's MONOPOLY and BATTLESHIP brands in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Under the agreement, GTECH, which operates government-authorized lotteries, will develop versions of the games to appear on four major online channels: Traditional, Social Space, Interactive, and Electronic Instant Lottery. The highly recognized MONOPOLY and BATTLESHIP brands, in combination with new lottery technology, makes games accessible in social venues such as restaurants, taverns, and over the Internet.
