The Board Performance award is presented each year to the Board of Directors in the gaming industry that exercises diversity and discretion in its handling of corporate governance.  HVS uses a broad range of criteria to judge the boards of 45 publicly-traded gaming companies, including size, makeup, and independence of the board; committee structure and effectiveness; presence of interlocks, insider participation, and related transactions; and fundamental commitment to pay-for-performance.
