GARTMORE SELECT JAPANESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
Result of Extraordinary General Meeting
At the Extraordinary General Meeting of Gartmore Select Japanese
Investment Trust PLC ("the Company") held today, resolutions were passed
placing the Company into Members' Voluntary Liquidation and appointing J
R D Smith and N J Dargan, both of Deloitte & Touche, as Joint
Liquidators.
The Company's ordinary shares and warrants were suspended from trading
earlier today.
It is anticipated that a first cash distribution will be made to
ordinary shareholders by 9 June 2003.
