David L. Fitzgerald Joins Gabelli Securities as CCO

Gabelli Securities, Inc., a 94% owned subsidiary of GAMCO Investors, Inc. (NYSE: GBL), announced that David L. Fitzgerald has joined Gabelli Securities, Inc. as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of the firm’s alternative investment fund business, Gabelli & Partners, LLC. Gabelli Securities currently has approximately $1 billion in assets under management. Mr. Fitzgerald will be responsible also for compliance and legal oversight for the GAMCO International SICAV, the firm’s Luxembourg-based UCITS fund business.

Mr. Fitzgerald has eighteen years of experience in the legal and financial services industries. Prior to joining Gabelli, Mr. Fitzgerald was the Associate General Counsel of Sciens Capital Management, the head of Leveraged Finance Legal for UBS in Europe and was associated with the law firms of Shearman & Sterling LLP and Cahill Gordon & Reindel.

Mr. Fitzgerald earned his JD from Fordham University School of Law and his BA from Georgetown University.
