Two Wealth Managers Join First Republic in Boston

First Republic Bank (NYSE: FRC), a leading private bank and wealth management company, today announced that Bill Grinnell and Darin Souza have joined First Republic Investment Management.

Grinnell and Souza were each named Managing Director and will work in First Republic’s office at 160 Federal Street in Boston. Both will provide investment management, retirement planning and other wealth management services to individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits and foundations.

Grinnell has 33 years of creating fixed-income strategies for multi-generational families, executives and non profits. He has worked as a fixed income portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York City, and in the Private Wealth Management Divisions at JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse in San Francisco and Boston, and most recently, Wells Fargo Advisors. Grinnell serves the Board at the Pingree School in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from St. Louis University.

Souza has 12 years of experience working with ultra-high net worth families, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations. Before joining First Republic, Souza worked for Lehman, Credit Suisse and most recently, Wells Fargo Advisors. He serves as a volunteer for the Cannonball Foundation and the Station Foundation, and is President of the Cohasset Youth Baseball and Softball Association. Souza graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was a member of the Army Baseball team and a recipient of the Superintendent’s award. A graduate of Ranger School, he served in the 82nd Airborne Division, among other Army units. Souza earned an MBA at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business.
