Fleetwood RV Launches New ASV Line of Folding Trailers
Heavy-Duty Components and Innovative ASV Styling Are Key Features on 2005
Scorpion and Evolution Models
RIVERSIDE, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fleetwood RV, a leading
producer of recreational vehicles, debuted its 2005 line of folding trailers
including the 2005 Scorpion and Evolution. These exciting new folding trailer
additions are featured highlights at the 42nd Annual National RVIA tradeshow in
Louisville, KY, November 30 -- December 2, 2004.
The 2005 Scorpion and Evolution are Fleetwood's first Activity Support Vehicle
(ASV) folding trailers. The Scorpion, a folding toy hauler, includes a large
rear storage deck and living area with two separate sleeping areas. The
Evolution features a heavy-duty shock suspension system for the RVer who likes
to live outside of the box. Both models feature unique off-road construction
and ASV interiors at lower pricing that allows outdoor enthusiasts of all ages
a chance to stay where they play.
Exterior highlights on the 2005 Scorpion and Evolution include Sunbrella(R) 302
acrylic tenting for increased protection against the elements, and
powder-coated steel seat framing. Inside, the Scorpion features a three-burner
range and microwave, AM/FM radio with CD player, powder-coated cabinetry and
waterproof countertops.
"Fleetwood recognized the tremendous potential in the ASV category and then
helped to drive its rapid growth with our highly innovative GearBox ASV brand,"
said Chris Braun, Executive Vice President for Fleetwood RV. "We later
expanded our ASV offerings to include value-priced ASV versions of our Mallard
and Pioneer towables. Our customers have told us that they are also looking
for an ASV with the amenities and versatility that has made the GearBox so
popular, but at a lower price point so that more consumers can enjoy the RV
lifestyle. The new Scorpion and Evolution ASVs answer that call."
In addition to the new ASV folding trailer line-up, Fleetwood also launched its
2005 Resort EXT and TNT lightweight expandable travel trailers in Louisville.
The Resort EXT's power-assisted rear master bed extension adds convenience
unique to expandable travel trailers. The Resort TNT is a hybrid travel
trailer with Sunbrella(R) 302 acrylic tenting. Both travel trailers feature
increased storage capacity, Windsor Birch cabinetry, and radius countertops for
a more residential look and feel.
