Federated Investors Canada ULC Launches Federated Strategic Value U.S. Equity Dividend Fund

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 9, 2016 /CNW/ -- Federated Investors Canada ULC, a subsidiary of Federated Investors, Inc. (NYSE: FII), today announced the launch of Federated Strategic Value U.S. Equity Dividend Fund, an equity mutual fund that seeks to provide monthly income and long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in a portfolio of high-quality U.S. stocks that pay dividends and offer the potential for dividend growth.

Available exclusively to Canadian investors, the fund leverages the success of Federated's existing Canadian relationships including separately managed accounts. The portfolio is managed by a seasoned team of investment professionals led by Daniel Peris and Deborah Bickerstaff, who manage approximately $25 billion in strategies following the same time-tested approach, including the $10 billion Federated Strategic Value Dividend Fund available to U.S. investors. Peris leads the Strategic Value Dividend team and is the author of two books on dividend investing. Bickerstaff has 20 years of investment experience, including portfolio management and research in the global equity area.

The fund, which has the Dow Jones Select Dividend Index as its primary benchmark, seeks to pursue competitive performance in both up and down markets, while targeting significantly less risk. Federated Strategic Value U.S. Equity Dividend Fund will be marketed in A and F share classes through registered dealers.
