PECO donates 600 fans to local senior centers as temperatures rise throughout the region
With the first day of summer just a few days away, PECO will donate 600 fans to seniors across the region to help them manage the heat and stay safe as temperatures rise this summer.
CAMERA OPPORTUNITIES:
At 10 a.m. on Friday, June 19 at PECO’s loading dock at 2301 Market Street, more than 20 PECO employee volunteers will load vehicles with fans for distribution in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia and York counties. Members of the media can enter the loading dock from 23rd Street.
At 1 p.m., PECO’s Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President Mike Innocenzo and PECO’s Energy for the Community volunteers will distribute 100 fans to seniors at Center in the Park (5818 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia), as well as share information on low-income programs and energy-saving tips for summer.
On Friday, fans will be distributed to the following locations across PECO’s service territory. Seniors should contact the location in their area in advance to make arrangements to pick up a fan.
