Comverge Adds Two Top Executives as Sales Directors to Accelerate Growth

Bill Mayer joins Comverge from Edison Electric Institute (EEI), where he represented the interests of nearly 200 investor-owned utilities in the U.S. Mayer's position as manager of customer operations gave him national responsibility for a range of transmission, distribution, and customer service issues.  Prior to EEI, Mayer spent over 16 years with Florida Power & Light in various positions. A registered professional engineer, Mayer graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida. Mayer will be responsible for the northeastern U.S. and Canadian states and provinces, including Quebec, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Blake Morrison comes to Comverge from energy industry consulting giant KEMA, where he was director of business development for the southeastern U.S. He has over 26 years of experience in the energy industry and a highly successful track record of business development, key account management and technical sales leadership. Morrison previously directed business development in the southeastern US for Kinectrics (formally Ontario Hydro's Research Division).  He also had an extensive 20 year career at Florida Power & Light Company, with a diverse background in combined heat and power, district energy, distributed generation and demand side management. Mr. Morrison has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and holds a MBA from Nova Southeastern University.  He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Cogeneration Professional (CCP), and is a Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional (CIAQP).
