Diamond Resorts International Launches Events of a Lifetime with Baseball Hall of Famers Reggie Jackson and Gaylord Perry

Diamond Resorts International® announces Events of a Lifetime™ and joins with two baseball legends to deliver priceless VIP vacation experiences to members, owners and guests

Diamond Resorts International® (NYSE: DRII), a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, builds on its successful hospitality platform and launches Events of a Lifetime™. The program delivers new and exciting VIP vacation experiences to select members and guests, and now includes special guest appearances by baseball Hall of Famers Reggie Jackson and Gaylord Perry. The two will be added to the roster of high-profile professional athletes, such as PGA touring professional Brian Gay, who are part of Diamond’s Events of a Lifetime™.

Jackson and Perry will make personal appearances at spring training and regular season baseball themed Events of a Lifetime™. These VIP events will include dinner with Jackson and Perry, and a trip to the ballpark accompanied by the Hall of Famers to watch either a spring training or regular season game featuring teams associated with the players. As a part of the relationship, Diamond will use Jackson and Perry in the company’s future marketing and tour flow generation initiatives.

Reggie Jackson played for 21 seasons over the course of his major league career from 1967 until 1987. He was given the name "Mr. October" for his postseason heroics. Jackson is a 14-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion. He won two Silver Slugger Awards, the 1973 American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award, two World Series MVP Awards, and the 1977 Babe Ruth Award. Jackson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.

Gaylord Perry pitched in the major leagues from 1962 until 1983 and played for eight different teams over the course of his 22-year baseball career. During that time, Perry accumulated 314 wins, 3,534 strikeouts, and a 3.11 earned run average. This five-time All-Star was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in each league, winning it in the American League in 1972 and in the National League in 1978. Soon after, Perry became the 15th member of the 300 win club in 1982. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
