Diamond Resorts International® engages wounded veteran Chad Pfeifer in sponsorship arrangement to deliver new and exciting Events of a Lifetime™ experiences to members, owners and guests

Diamond Resorts International® (NYSE: DRII), a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, continues to expand its hospitality platform by engaging wounded veteran Chad Pfeifer as a Diamond Resorts Ambassador.

Throughout 2015, Pfeifer will appear at 10 Events of a Lifetime™, a Diamond Resorts program that delivers VIP vacation experiences to select members, owners and guests, and involves special guest appearances by a roster of high-profile celebrities such as baseball Hall of Famers Reggie Jackson and Gaylord Perry, PGA touring professionals Brian Gay and John Cook, and Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien.

After graduating college, Pfeifer enlisted into the U.S. Army where he advanced to the rank of corporal. He was deployed to Iraq in 2007 as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While on his tour of duty in Iraq, Pfeifer's vehicle was hit with a pressurized IED resulting in significant disability including the loss of his left leg. As a part of Pfeifer's therapy and recovery he thrust himself into golf. Pfeifer learned how to play the game with his new prosthetic leg.

Since his debut on the golf scene, Pfeifer has won the National Amputee Championship hosted at Rio Verde Golf Club and is a three-time champion of the Warrior Open, an event hosted by former President George W. Bush. He placed 5th in the 2014 American Century Golf Championship and competed in the 2015 Humana Challenge in La Quinta, Calif. Pfeifer currently appears on the Golf Channel's Big Break show, Big Break The Palm Beaches, Fla., where he advanced this week by eliminating two players in an exciting playoff.
