CNX Gas Promotes Richard L. Toothman

PITTSBURGH, July 13  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CNX Gas Corporation (NYSE:CXG) announced today that Richard L. Toothman has been promoted to Vice President - Engineering and Technical Services.  In this position, he has assumed increased responsibility for managing the company's reservoir, drilling, and production engineering efforts. Most recently, he held the position of Director - Engineering and Horizontal Drilling. Rick graduated from West Virginia University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering.  He has been associated with CNX Gas' operations since 1992, where he focused on coalbed methane extraction. Previously, Rick was employed by CONOCO in several engineering capacities.
