CNX Gas Promotes M. Charles Hardoby and Daniel J. Zajdel

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 13  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CNX Gas Corporation (NYSE:CXG) announced today that M. Charles Hardoby and Daniel J. Zajdel have each been promoted to vice president.

M. Charles Hardoby was named Vice President-Strategic Planning. In this position, he is responsible for implementing the company's strategic direction. Most recently, he was Director-Strategic Planning, a position he attained in August 2005. Chuck graduated cum laude from Allegheny College with a bachelor's degree in economics. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2002. Mr. Hardoby began his career at Price Waterhouse, LLP, and has ten years' experience in the energy industry.

Daniel J. Zajdel was named Vice President-Investor and Public Relations. He had been Director-Investor and Public Relations, a position he attained in August 2005. Dan graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. degree in finance in 1975. After serving four years as a commissioned navy officer, he obtained his master's degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University in 1981. Mr. Zajdel has 25 years' experience in the energy industry.
