CNX Gas Announces Results of its Annual Meeting

PITTSBURGH, May 1  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CNX Gas Corporation (NYSE:CXG) announced today that at its 2006 Annual Meeting of Stockholders on April 28, stockholders re-elected the incumbent Board of Directors and ratified the selection of PricewaterhouseCoopers as the Company's independent auditors.

Re-elected to the Board of Directors were Philip W. Baxter, Chairman, and Nicholas J. DeIuliis, who is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Also re-elected were James E. Altmeyer, Sr., a Wheeling, West Virginia-based business executive; Raj K. Gupta, a Houston-based business executive; J. Brett Harvey, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pittsburgh-based CONSOL Energy Inc.; William J. Lyons, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CONSOL Energy; and John R. Pipski, owner of a Pittsburgh-based tax accounting and financial services firm.
