Cable & Wireless America to Stream Online Video Advertisements for MSN Video
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cable & Wireless America today
announced that it will deliver the online streaming video advertising for MSN
Video, MSN's new high-quality broadband video player that will be broadly
available this winter across the MSN network. With its comprehensive global
content delivery and streaming media services, Cable & Wireless America is able
to provide an end-to-end streaming media solution to help deliver high-quality
online streaming advertising to support rich broadband media content.
To support this advertising-based video delivery, Cable & Wireless America is
providing MSN an end-to-end streaming media solution encompassing content
encoding, content and campaign management and streaming media delivery services.
Encoding services will be provided for advertisers, enabling advertisers to put
advertisements in Windows Media 9 Format. In addition, advertisers will be able
to track the effectiveness of their online streaming advertising with a campaign
tracking solution. All video advertisements will be streamed over the global
content delivery network of Cable & Wireless America. The network consists of
numerous streaming servers at the edge of the Internet, helping ensure
advertisers fast, high-quality and reliable delivery of their streamed video ads
through MSN Video.
