Agreement extends 21-year business relationship

CSC (NYSE:CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, today announced that it has signed a new next-generation IT outsourcing agreement with global defense and security company BAE Systems. The agreement extends the current relationship to November 2021 and is valued at $600 million.

Under the new agreement, CSC will deliver a full range of IT services, including contact center, collaborative services, end user compute, mainframe, physical/virtual servers, storage and networking, project services and application maintenance and support. CSC will deliver new efficiencies through automation and introduce new capabilities into a significantly extended and expanded scope across infrastructure, applications and project services.

These services will be rolled out across new areas and business units within BAE Systems, with CSC providing IT services to BAE Systems in the UK and Saudi Arabia.

“This new agreement demonstrates the highly successful business partnership we have developed with CSC and the collaborative approach that led to signing this new contract,” said Allan Leggetter, IT director, BAE Systems. “We operate in a constantly evolving industry with a need to improve operational service and reduce operational expenditure. CSC’s next-generation technology will provide the foundation for new solutions and will drive innovative, consistent and efficient IT services for BAE Systems.”

“We are delighted to have finalized this new contract and to build on our longstanding relationship,” said Matthew Doucy, industry general manager for CSC’s UK, Ireland and Netherlands Aerospace & Defense business. “This agreement recognizes CSC’s ability to deliver high service levels while at the same time drive out costs and provide agility and flexibility to the BAE Systems business.”

CSC’s relationship with BAE Systems began in April 1994 when the companies signed a 10-year IT outsourcing contract in the UK. At the time, the contract was one of the largest commercial IT outsourcing contracts ever awarded to a single supplier in Europe. The relationship between CSC and BAE Systems has matured and strengthened, supporting BAE Systems multiple mergers and acquisitions in both the UK and home countries.
