ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 28  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Certegy Inc.
(NYSE:CEY), today announced the appointment of Sherri P. Nadeau as Senior Vice
President and Chief Human Resources officer.  Richard D. Gapen, who will
retire, previously held the position.

Ms. Nadeau brings over 20 years of experience in human resource management and
tax expertise to Certegy. She previously held senior human resource positions
at Equant, Inc. (formerly Global One), Universal Studios and Holiday Inn
Worldwide, and served as senior tax manager for KPMG Peat Marwick.  She will
report to Certegy's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Lee A. Kennedy.

In making the announcement, Kennedy stated, "Sherri's expertise in managing
compensation and benefit plans, combined with her strong international
experience and financial background, provides an excellent foundation to
support Certegy's global operations."
