Media Availability to Follow February 11 BNSF Shareholder Meeting

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (NYSE:BNI) announces it will host a press conference following the shareholder meeting on Feb. 11, 2010 to approve the acquisition of BNSF by Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. The press conference, which is expected to commence at 9:30 a.m. CST, will be held at BNSF’s corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas and carried via satellite and live listen-only webcast. Credentialed media are invited to attend the press conference, but only shareholders may attend the actual meeting where the vote takes place. Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, will not be in attendance.
