W. R. Berkley Corporation Appoints Kevin H. Ebers Senior Vice President - Information Technology

  
    
  
  
    
      W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: BER) today announced the 
      appointment of Kevin H. Ebers as senior vice president – 
      information technology. He will be responsible for overseeing 
      information technology systems and operations throughout the Company. 
      His appointment is effective immediately.
    
    
      Mr. Ebers, 50, began his career with the Company more than 28 years ago 
      and brings financial, accounting and information technology experience 
      to his new role. Since 2005, he has served as the Company’s 
      vice president – financial risk management. 
      Previously, he was vice president – 
      information systems of Continental Western Group and, prior to that, was 
      chief financial officer of Union Insurance Company. Mr. Ebers earned a 
      B.S. in accounting, finance and economics from the University of 
      Nebraska.
