WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BBT) today announced that due to the potential threat of Hurricane Florence, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kelly S. King will not be attending the Barclays Global Financial Services Conference in New York on Thursday, Sept. 13. King was scheduled to speak at 11:15 a.m., but due to the potential impact of the storm on BB&T branches, clients and associates, he will remain in Winston-Salem to help direct BB&T's hurricane efforts.
