RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 16  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AXS-One Inc. (AMEX:AXO), a
leading provider of records compliance management solutions, today announced
that it has substantially bolstered its sales, marketing, and customer service
capabilities with four key executive hires that will help the company
accelerate its growth and solidify its leadership position in the records
compliance management market.  The new executives assumed their positions
during the months of July and August, 2004, and they include:

Richard H. Dym, Chief Marketing Officer.  Mr. Dym has overall responsibility
for AXS-One worldwide marketing and customer services.  He brings to AXS-One 25
years of successful marketing and technical operations experience gained from
the senior executive positions he has held at fast- paced technology companies
ranging from start-ups to global enterprises. Prior to joining AXS-One, he
served as Chief Marketing Officer at OpSource, Inc., a venture-funded, rapidly
growing IT infrastructure outsourcing company. Prior to OpSource, Mr. Dym
served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Metromedia Fiber Networks (now
Abovenet) where he orchestrated the re-branding of the company from a
telecommunications fiber company to a full service hosting, fiber and managed
services provider.  He has also held senior executive positions at SiteSmith,
ParcPlace, Autodesk and Ashton-Tate.  Mr. Dym holds a B.A. in Economics from
Franklin & Marshall College and a M.A. in Economics from American University.

Marie-Charlotte Patterson, Vice President of Corporate Marketing.  Ms.
Patterson will lead AXS-One's global corporate marketing efforts and leverage
her domain expertise to accelerate and optimize the company's market-
penetration and growth initiatives.  Reporting to Mr. Dym, Ms. Patterson brings
to AXS-One over 15 years of international marketing experience in the software
industry, with specific expertise in the content management and archiving
industry.  Before joining AXS-One, she served as Vice President of Corporate
Marketing for IXOS, a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM)
solutions where she was responsible for developing the company's re-branding
efforts as an ECM vendor.  Prior to IXOS, Ms. Patterson held senior level
marketing positions in the US and Europe with Macro 4, a publicly traded
systems management and document archiving software provider. Ms. Patterson
holds a BA (Hons) in European Studies from Bath University, UK.

Christopher Zang, Vice President of Client Services.  Reporting to Mr. Dym, Mr.
Zang will lead worldwide customer services, product implementation, and
customer training for AXS-One.  Mr. Zang has over 15 years of experience in the
enterprise software industry and more than 10 years in managing support and
service operations.  He joins the company from IXOS where he served as Vice
President of Technical Services responsible for customer training and support
operations.  Mr. Zang's technical expertise, including in-depth knowledge of
SAP and other leading technologies, will ensure AXS-One customers and partners
receive the support they require to maximize the value delivered by AXS-One
products and services.  Prior to IXOS, Mr. Zang worked for leading global
organizations, including Siemens and Nixdorf Computer AG.  He holds a Master of
Science Degree in Telecommunications/Microprogramming from the Technical
University in Munich, Germany.

Danielle Hooper, Vice President of Channels and Business Development.  Ms.
Hooper is responsible for the creation, development and execution of plans and
strategies that will guide AXS-One's strategic partnership programs.  She has
more than 15 years of information technology experience and brings a broad
range of sales, channel marketing, and information technology management
expertise to the company.  She joins AXS-One from IXOS where, during her
five-year tenure, she held key positions in sales and channel management and
was responsible for developing strategic relationships with leading storage
vendors.  Before joining IXOS, Ms. Hooper held senior management positions at
technology companies such as Unisys Corporation, Stratus Technologies, and
Honeywell.
