(NYSE:AWA), parent company of low-fare carrier America West Airlines, Inc.,
today announced the results of its annual stockholders' meeting held in
Phoenix.

Stockholders voted to elect the four directors nominated by the Board of
Directors: Matthew J. Hart, Robert J. Miller, W. Douglas Parker and John F.
Tierney, to three-year terms expiring at the Company's 2008 annual meeting.

America West Holdings Corporation is an aviation and travel services company.
