DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST IN SHARES



The Company received notification on 14 October 2003 that due to the conversion
of unit trusts into investment companies with variable capital:



-          Amvescap PLC ceased to be interested, within the meaning of Sections
203 and 208 of the Companies Act 1985 (the "Act"), in 7,373,608 ordinary shares
of 5p each and therefore no longer has a notifiable interest, within the meaning
of Section 192(2) of the Act, in the Company; and

-          INVESCO Perpetual UK Growth Fund and INVESCO Perpetual International
Core Fund no longer have a notifiable interest, within the meaning of Section
192(2) of the Act, in the Company
