ATLANTA, April 27  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As disclosed by AMVESCAP PLC 
earlier today in a U.K.-issued release (which has been filed with the
Securities and Exchange Commission under cover of a Form 6-K) and also
discussed on today's earnings call, the announcement of 1st Quarter Results for
the year ending 31st December 2004, which was sent out by email today, was, in
some cases, also erroneously accompanied by an attachment of a draft internal
presentation consisting of working papers to the Company's Executive Management
Committee.

The presentation, posted on the Company's Web site, was included in error and
