Atlas Energy, L.P. Announces Distribution of $0.11 Per Common Unit for the First Quarter 2011

Atlas Energy, L.P. (NYSE: AHD) announces today that it has declared a quarterly distribution for the first quarter 2011 of $0.11 per common unit. This compares to $0.07 per common unit paid for the fourth quarter 2010. The distribution is payable Friday, May 20, 2011 to holders of record as of Friday, May 13, 2011.

Concurrently with the Chevron-Atlas Energy, Inc. merger which was completed on February 17, 2011, AHD acquired all of Atlas Energy, Inc.’s interests in its investment management business as well as certain producing oil & gas assets. AHD owned these acquired assets from February 18th through March 31st during the first quarter 2011.
