ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ABD), a world leader in select categories of branded office products, today announced that Thomas W. Tedford has been promoted to executive vice president and president, ACCO Brands Americas, effective immediately. Tedford will have responsibility for the company’s sales, marketing and operations in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. He replaces Boris Elisman, who was named president and chief operating officer of ACCO Brands Corporation in December 2010.

Tedford was previously senior vice president, Global Marketing. Before joining ACCO Brands in early 2010, he was group vice president for Client Services at APAC Customer Services, which provides high-volume telephone-based sales, marketing and customer management services to large companies. He also served in increasingly responsible sales and sales leadership positions in the Business Services Division of Office Depot, and was director of new business development and strategy at the Sam's Club division of Walmart. He will continue to report to Elisman in his new role.

“Tom Tedford brings a track record of success in sales, marketing, and general management from Office Products and Consumer Retail industries,” said Elisman. “I have full confidence in his ability to continue to service our customers and drive profitable growth of our Americas business.”

In addition, the company has consolidated product marketing, design and development, and sourcing responsibilities under one executive, Thomas H. Shortt, and named him executive vice president and president of Product Strategy and Development, effective immediately. He had previously been executive vice president and Chief Strategy and Supply Chain Officer. Shortt will also continue to report to Elisman.

“Tom Shortt has made great improvements in our supply chain and sourcing functions,” said Elisman. “Under his leadership, I know we will further improve the efficiency of our supply chain and the effectiveness of our product development process.”
