ZEVEX International Inc. (NASDAQ: ZVXI), developer and
manufacturer of high-quality, high-value medical products, announced
today that it is now included in the Russell MicroCap Index. ZEVEX was
added to this index when the Russell Investment Group reconstituted
its family of U.S. indexes on July 1, 2006.
The Russell MicroCap Index is one of several Russell indexes that
are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors.
These indexes are used to manage mutual funds that are tied to the
indexes and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment
strategies. Approximately $3.8 trillion in assets is currently
benchmarked to Russell indexes. If a mutual fund is tied to a specific
Russell index, investment managers will purchase shares of stock of a
company that is part of the index according to the weighting of that
company in the index.
