Yak Communications Retains Ernst & Young LLP for Auditing Services

Yak Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:YAKC), a provider of 
telecommunication services to residential and business customers, 
announced today that the Audit Committee of its Board of Directors 
agreed to engage Ernst & Young LLP as the Company's new independent 
auditors effective October 28, 2005. Ernst & Young replaces Horwath 
Orenstein LLP.

   Ernst & Young is recognized as an industry leader in providing 
accounting services to companies in the telecommunications and 
technology sectors. The decision to change auditors was not the 
result of any disagreement between the Company and Horwath Orenstein 
on any matter of accounting principles, practices, financial 
disclosure, or auditing procedure.

   The Company has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission 
a Current Report on Form 8-K with regard to this change of its 
independent auditors.
