VitalWorks Appoints Lisa Zappala to Board of Directors 


RIDGEFIELD, Conn., March 2  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VitalWorks Inc. , a leader
in radiology and medical information technology solutions, today reported that
Lisa W. Zappala was appointed to its Board of Directors effective March 1,
2004.

Ms. Zappala is currently a senior vice president of Aspen Technology, Inc.
(NASDAQ:AZPN) performing a part-time role as senior advisor since leaving her
job as CFO last summer. She served as treasurer and then CFO of Aspen Technology
for over eight years. Prior to joining Aspen Technology, she practiced public
accounting for more than eleven years at Arthur Andersen & Co. as a CPA. A 1981
graduate of Boston College, Ms. Zappala serves on the board of two privately
held companies.
