Verigy (Nasdaq:VRGY), a premier semiconductor test company, today
announced that Michael Campbell, Vice President of Engineering for
QUALCOMM CDMA Technologies, will be a featured keynote speaker for VOICE
2006, Verigy’s first annual V93000 SOC Series
users conference to be held December 5 and 6, in Santa Clara, Calif. The
robust technical program will also include more than thirty technical
presentations from some of the leading global semiconductor
manufacturers as well as Verigy representatives.
“The response from our customers for this
first-ever event has been tremendous,” said
Debbora Ahlgren, Chief Marketing Officer, Verigy. “Thanks
to the strong customer involvement on the steering committee and to the
high quality of technical paper submissions we’ve
received from users, the technical program will provide attendees with
valuable information on the latest SOC testing techniques, methodologies
and best practices.”
VOICE 2006 will offer three tracks to meet the varied needs of
participants: Testing Techniques and Methodologies; Productivity; and
Production. A highlight of the Testing Techniques and Methodologies
track will be a presentation by Karthik Sundararaman of QUALCOMM on the
AutoShmoo tool developed to automate the collection of shmoo data across
multiple devices. Toby McPheeters of Broadcom and Don Blair of Verigy
will present a joint paper on collaborative test development illustrated
by a real-world example. The full conference agenda and technical
program are now available on Verigy’s Web site.
Keynote Presentations
Michael Campbell will present the feature keynote, “Test:
An Industry of Change.” Mr. Campbell joined
QUALCOMM in 1996 and is responsible for QCT Digital Product and Test
Engineering, Test Automation Infrastructure and Failure Analysis. His
work focuses on optimizing the design, process, and yield of QUALCOMM
products in 90 and 65nm. Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Mr. Campbell was an
engineer and manager at several semiconductor companies, including
Mostek, INMOS and Honeywell. He holds a BSEE and CE from Clarkson
University in Potsdam, New York.
A second keynote, “Creating and Sustaining a
Winning Environment,” will be delivered by
Andrew O’Donoghue, President of Advance
Performance, Inc. Mr. O’Donoghue has been
consulting for more than 10 years in management and organizational
development, and is sought after as an informative and inspiring speaker
and educator in the area of human behavior enhancement. A founder and
current President of Advance Performance, he now specializes in
delivering programs within large organizations such as Nestle Waters,
Rolls Royce, Pfizer, Adidas, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the United
Nations, and in working with professional athletes such as golfers
Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley. His experience also includes 10 years
as an attorney in the U.K.
