Vignette Corp. (NASDAQ:VIGND) today announced that it
has named Brett Bachman as senior vice president of products, strategy
and worldwide marketing. In this role, Bachman will drive Vignette's
products, marketing and go-to-market strategies, and is charged with
guiding the product lifecycle process from product requirements
definition through positioning, packaging, and deliverables for
Vignette's award-winning enterprise content management solutions.

Prior to joining Vignette, Bachman was a co-founder, chief
operating officer and president of MS2, a software application company
that led the creation of the Product Lifecycle Management application
category. Before MS2, he held senior executive positions with leading
companies including Oracle, Informix, and Rational Software, and was a
consultant with McKinsey & Company. Most recently, Bachman was vice
president and general manager of the decision management software and
solutions unit at Fair Isaac Corp., where he was responsible for more
than $100 million in total revenue. While in this position, he helped
to accelerate revenue growth by more than 37 per cent on a sequential
quarterly basis.

Bachman has an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a
