Universal Automotive Appoints Two New Managers
ALSIP, Ill., May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Universal Automotive Industries,
Inc. today announced the appointment of Larry Newman and Arnold Slutsky to
managerial positions at the company's Autospecialty division.
Larry Newman joins Autospecialty's Undercar Products Group as sales team
program group manager. Larry brings more than 20 years of relevant experience
to Autospecialty, most recently as director of sales at Tri-State Stores, an
automotive retailer with 12 locations. His experience also includes store
operations manager and vice president of sales and marketing for GMG Partners.
During that time, he also spent two years developing and managing the Parts
Plus Program for GMG.
Arnie Slutsky has been named purchasing manager at Autospecialty's Supply Chain
division, based in Alsip, Illinois. Arnie's career has been focused in
automotive parts and distribution, sales, purchasing, and account development,
and includes over 20 years of progressive experience. Some of the positions he
has held throughout his career include owner and CEO of his own auto parts
importing and distribution center, and factory agent for a variety of overseas
and international firms.
In his last position, Arnie not only founded the company, he managed direct
sales and quality control, from the factory to the importer. He cites
developing a factory / customer network which ensured distribution processes to
the United States, Canada and Mexico.
